Pesticides Dirty Dozen!

This great post comes from our member, Maria!

-----------

This is a summary of an article by Dr. Gouin at the Hartford Hosp. Wellness Ctr.:

Almost 90% of pesticide exposure found in fruits and veggies is concentrated in a few, well known as the Dirty Dozen, because of the degree of contamination. 90% is a huge amount! They are :

Peaches, Bell peppers, Nectarines, Lettuce, Grapes, Spinach, Apples, Celery, Strawberries, Cherries, Pears, and Potatoes.

Other fruits and veggies are less apt to retain the chemicals or are protected by their skins.

By selecting organic varieties instead of the highly contaminated Dirty Dozen, you substantially reduce exposure to harmful chemicals and help to detox them from your system.

EAT WELL AND FEEL GOOD!!
